have found the largest black holes ever discovered.

Using telescopes at the Gemini and Keck observatories in Hawaii
and at McDonald Observatory in Texas, Ma and McConnell obtained
detailed spectra of the diffuse -starlight at the centers of
several massive elliptical galaxies.
