Antony著名的答辯辭如下:
朋友們 ! 羅馬人! 同胞們! 請暫時把你的耳朵借給我;
今天 ~ 我是來埋葬凱撒 而不是來讚美他的。
如果他是邪惡的~ 他該死~
如果他是好的~ 讓這好的與凱撒的骨頭安葬在一起吧~~
高貴的 Brutus~ 他告訴我們 - 凱撒是野心勃勃的人
當然~ Brutus 是一個正人君子
凱撒~ 他帶回一群群俘虜給我們 他將勝利品填滿了國庫 …
難道~ 難道~ 這是野心勃勃的凱撒？
當窮人哭了 凱撒同時為他們垂淚~ 有野心人應是鐵石心的
但~ Brutus 說~ 他是野心勃勃的~~
當然~ Brutus 是一個高尚的人!
你們沒看到??? 我們三次請他戴上王冠
但~ 他一次二次三次拒絕了!!! 這樣的人會有野心？
但 Brutus 說~ 他是野心勃勃的!

但~ 在這裡 我只要說我所知道的 ...
你們都曾經愛過凱撒 不是嗎? 這絕不是沒有原因的
那么~ 今天 你們為什麼不悼念他呀？
哦~ 公理呀! 你們樣一群落跑的野獸 你們失去了理性~
聽我說!!!

ANTONY
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones; So let it be with Caesar.
The noble Brutus Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
For Brutus is an honourable man; So are they all, all honourable men--Come I to speak in Caesar's funeral.
He was my friend, faithful and just to me: But Brutus says he was ambitious;And Brutus is an honourable man.
He hath brought many captives home to Rome. Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill: Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
